In this project I created an ad campaign for the popular game, The Settlers of Catan. 

Below are some images (I did not take) to help gauge and inspire me for this advertising project. I chose to find inspiration in the logo, the packaging, colors, and the idea of movement (hence the fabric photograph). 

Advertising is always a tricky design process for me. For this project I continued asking myself, "What ads would catch someones eyes, without being tacky?". 

Finally, after many trials and errors I came to the simple designs, below. I wanted to draw users in with a simple tactic, words. 

I chose to approach this advertisements solely with a subtle background design and a high contrast of typography laying atop the background. My goal was to keep the ad simple but eye catching enough people would want to stop for a second and wonder.

Below are the flat designs created for this campaign. I made sure to utilize the unique qualities the game presents its players.
